Preferred Subjects:General Science, Calculus, Psychology, Study Skills/Organization, Physics, Chemistry, Pre-Calculus, Algebra, Trigonometry, General Math, English (ESL), English (Writing), SAT, SAT Math, Geometry, and ADD/ADHD
Experience:I've taught math and writing to students in grades 3-12, with a wide range of abilities, interests, and personalities. I've tutored high school students in most common subjects--math, English, chemistry, physics, biology, and writing--while I was one myself. My first official, paid tutoring job was in the 6th grade, but I've also volunteered at school homework centers and worked as a TA in a junior high algebra class and a high school AP Chemistry class.

I can be quite successful with a student who's a little bit shy, having been such a child myself, but I also have some experience working with children who have trouble focusing their minds on the task at hand. I enjoy figuring out the best way to reach a new student, and then watching him or her excel in a subject that used to be a chore.

Test Scores, etc.:
2330 SAT, AP "5" in English Language, English Literature, Chemistry, Physics B, Biology, Calculus AB, Statistics.
High School Valedictiorian.
Hobbies:I spent most of my childhood in a ballet school, I'm a classical cellist, and I love to curl up with a good book!
